Extraordinary project: The Artery in Vilnius
The Artery, designed by star architect Daniel Libeskind, is located in the centre of the Lithuanian capital Vilnius. Our NiroSan® piping system is being used here for a hygienic drinking water supply. With this premium system made of stainless steel, we played an important part in the "outstanding quality of the construction", on which the client placed particular emphasis during the planning and selection process.
The 18-storey tower with its sculptural design is considered the new landmark of the Vilnius metropolis. It is centrally located on the skyline and offers plenty of space for offices, public facilities and a hotel. On the outside, the building stands out with its structured glass façade, and on the inside with its contemporary technology. During the planning phase, the architect and client placed great emphasis on the exceptional quality of the construction and the products used.
In a building as tall as The Artery, the risers are the core of the piping installation. They were implemented with dimensions of 139.7 and 168.3 mm from the extensive NiroSan® system. These dimensions allow builders and installers to install risers and distribution lines quickly and in a time-saving manner, thus avoiding costly or even error-prone mixed installations.

The building is certified according to the BREEAM sustainability standard. NiroSan® made of stainless steel also fits perfectly in this aspect, as the material is not only hygienic but also very easy to recycle. With our own production and high quality standards, we underline our claim to be actively committed to sustainable systems.
