Building Information Modeling (BIM)

SANHA® provides BIM data for a wide range of our piping systems. Building Service Engineers and Designers can chose between the Revit (AutoDesk) or VDI 3805 formats. With these two options, pipe network layouts can be displayed in a standardised 3D format and project progress can be documented across the entire location.

With the BIM product data, we provide technical planners with a flexible and practical solution for the design of piping systems for heating, cooling, ventilation and drinking water installations as well as for industrial projects. The data is available for all relevant SANHA® systems in Revit format. It includes pipeline systems made of stainless steel (NiroSan® and NiroTherm®), C-steel (SANHA®-Therm), copper (SANHA®-Press) as well as the special lead-free drinking water series PURAPRESS® and 3fit® pb-free and PPSU fittings for multilayer pipes.

In addition, many planning offices use the Plancal Nova software. The tool supports many functions that have been specially adapted to holistic building system technology. Plancal Nova allows the import of existing projects into the representation as well as the import of article data, for example for fittings, into an existing project. A major advantage is the integrated conflict check. All product data are of course also included in this software. This provides our partners in building services planning with another practical and time-saving alternative.

Bill of materials, easy team collaboration

In addition to the CAD data, extensive technical product information such as dimensions, weight, "Z" dimensions or thread type - all of which are required in the BIM planning process - can be easily accessed with the programme. For installers, an accurate bill of materials available at an early stage enables much better planning across the whole supply chain.

For international teams working on large projects, all SANHA® product data can be transferred to other team members at the push of a button. Setting a standard

In the absence of any approved standard for BIM files, our developer Stabiplan has established a European MEP content standard. This standard determines the level of information required by all manufactures, to ensure a consistent and correct BIM output delivery. The relevant document draws from all existing documentation and standards such as VDI 3805 and draft ISO16757, to bring together a meaningful and important document, especially for all those companies developing specific BIM Apps.
