SANHA GmbH & Co. KG Continues Earnings Growth in 2024

Essen, 17 April 2025 – SANHA GmbH & Co. KG, one of the leading manufacturers of piping systems and fittings for the sanitary, heating and air conditioning sector (HVAC), achieved another increase in earnings in the 2024 financial year despite geopolitical tensions and a continued weak construction market in Germany.

With sales revenues of €124.1 million (previous year: €121.8 million), the Group generated EBITDA of €21.5 million (previous year: €19.5 million), corresponding to a significantly higher EBITDA margin of 17.4%. This improvement in earnings was mainly driven by an increase in gross profit, which – adjusted for currency effects – rose by around €7.5 million to €75.0 million. The gross profit margin (excluding currency gains) increased by five percentage points to 60.4% (previous year: 55.4%), more than offsetting higher expenses, particularly in personnel. In addition to wage increases, the average number of employees rose to 669 in 2024 from 638 in the prior year. Further drivers of profitability were investments and innovations in recent years, which led to significant efficiency gains in production and administration and considerably strengthened the resilience of the SANHA business model. Operating profit (EBIT) increased by €1.4 million to €15.7 million, resulting in an EBIT margin of 12.7% (previous year: 11.8%). Earnings before taxes amounted to €10.7 million, also up from €9.5 million in the prior year.

Bernd Kaimer, Managing Partner of the family-owned company, summarised:
"In the face of a very challenging market environment, we have once again demonstrated our ability to respond quickly and flexibly to highly volatile market conditions. The resilience of our business model is now very high, and our strategic focus on greater internationalisation combined with investments in automation and digitalisation are clearly paying off. These measures enable us to effectively offset demand fluctuations in individual markets."

SANHA® Remains a Sustainability Leader – Gold Status from EcoVadis

SANHA® also made further progress in its sustainability initiatives in 2024, including energy and resource efficiency, sustainable product development, circular economy and recycling. In September 2024, the Group was awarded Gold Status for the first time in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, placing it among the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis in the past 12 months. The EcoVadis sustainability rating is one of the world’s most renowned methods for measuring companies’ CSR performance.

Outlook for 2025

For 2025, the management expects sales revenues to remain at the prior-year level in a persistently difficult market environment, with slightly lower EBITDA and EBIT. Despite conservatively planned margins slightly below 2024, SANHA still anticipates sufficiently positive earnings to further strengthen its equity base and gradually reduce debt. The company also considers itself on track in corporate financing, benefiting from the greater diversification of its financing structure achieved through the successful refinancing of its 2013/2026 corporate bond.

The audited 2024 consolidated financial statements of SANHA GmbH & Co. KG will be published today on the company’s website at www.sanha.com/Investor-Relations/Dokumente/.
