REACH: We inform
SANHA GmbH & Co. KG is one of the leading European manufacturers of piping systems for heating, sanitary and air-conditioning technology.
As a business partner, you purchase piping systems and components from us. All obligations arising from the REACH regulation are fully applicable to us. REACH is the European Chemicals Regulation for registration that took effect in 2007,
Evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals. REACH aims to ensure the highest level of protection of human health and the environment.
In the revision of 27.06.2018 the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) as the responsible European authority has included metallic lead in the candidate list of substances of very high concern (according to REACH Regulation 1907/2006).

Manufacturers and suppliers of products (e.g. "semi-finished products, components, fittings" etc.) must inform their commercial customers in accordance with Art. 33 of the above-mentioned Reach Regulation if lead is contained in a concentration of more than 0.1 % in the smallest partial product. For "components", this means in concrete terms that "every smallest product of a composite product" is used as a reference value for the calculation.
Many years ago, we developed premium products from the lead-free material silicon bronze (CuSi). The following systems are therefore completely lead-free:
- 3fit®-Press Pb-free
Some SANHA products from the following product groups contain small quantities of lead in a concentration of > 0.1 % as an alloying component:
- Gunmetal fittings Series 4000,
- Threaded brass fitting,
- Turned parts made of carbon steel Series 24000,
- SANHA®-HEAT gunmetal components,
- Brass ball valves,
- SANHA®-Press Gas (transition fittings made of gunmetal)
- 3fit® Press
Products made of the above materials do not fall within the scope of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP Regulation) and are therefore not subject to classification and labelling requirements.
Should there be any changes regarding the above provisions, we will continue to inform you here on our website.
