SANHA fittings installed in America’s Cup HQ

The British sailing team’s hopes of obtaining the America’s Cup will be strengthened by the extensive and striking new headquarters developed by Ben Ainslie Racing and incorporating SANHA pipes and fittings.

Copper pipes and fittings were specified by designers for the extensive yachting base in Portsmouth and SANHA products more than fit the bill.  SANHA products were selected by the team at Sale Group not only for their quality but the added benefit of a lead free installation incorporating the SANHA PURAPRESS range of lead free Silicon Bronze fittings.

Mechanical and maintenance service providers, Sale Group, confident with the decision to use SANHA fittings, were rewarded with a quick and efficient delivery and installation.

When an exposed finish was required for some of the pipe installations, SANHA’s unique chrome fittings were used to create and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Technical Sales Manager at SANHA, Dave Lancaster, who was closely involved with the training and facilitation of the project, said that this was a very prestigious job which SANHA were proud to be involved with.

“We provided technical support for the duration of the project with regular visits to site so that we could inspect the installation and give advice on matters such as expansion,” Mr Lancaster said.

“Prior to any work being conducted onsite we delivered our full 30 Points to a Perfect Press training which certifies that all Sale Group installers are protected by the SANHA guarantee. The installation by Sale Group was of an extremely high standard throughout the building.”

Creation of the enormous training facility at The Camber in Old Portsmouth highlights the seriousness of Britain’s attempt to win the 35th America’s Cup and designers have spared no expense.  The sailing base provides state-of-the-art training, research and development and boatbuilding facilities.
