SANHA at ISH 2019 – Looking back at a successful week
ISH 2019 has come to an end and has once again proven its importance as the world's leading trade fair for water, heat and climate. From 11 to 15 March 2019, some 190,000 visitors from 161 countries came to the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre to find out about innovations and trends. A total of 2,532 exhibitors from 57 countries presented their new products for the first time in Frankfurt am Main. At the same time, ISH expanded its relevance by significantly increasing its internationality: 66 percent of the exhibitors and almost 48 percent of the visitors came from abroad. This was also evident at the SANHA stand in Hall 4.0.
In addition to all metallic and plastic piping systems including the sound-absorbing MASTER 2 PLUS house drainage system and our time-saving SANHA boxes, we presented applications with augmented and virtual reality for the first time.
Digitalisation: How to deal with it?
The topic of digitisation moves and affects us all, whether in the daily work process, in planning or in fast data processing. Making processes more efficient and improving collaboration - who wouldn't want to? Especially on the construction site, questions often arise that need to be answered quickly in order to advance the construction project.
Our activities some of which, we launched years ago, include smooth planning with BIM Revit or VDI 3805, reliable data provision with Open Data check or Open Datapool, ETIM or our diverse social media offerings.
Augmented & Virtual Reality
But we go even further: with Augmented & Virtual Reality, via scans and HoloLens, we offer new approaches for the provision of information - everywhere and mobile, even on the construction site. At our booth you could test what exactly is behind it and what advantages these digital tools offer. Our app ("Admented App") is very easy to use:
1. download the Admented App at Google Play or in the App Store
2. scan our series names of brochures, exhibition boards, packaging...
3. find the desired information without detours!
What advantages and possibilities a virtual representation offers in the planning and installation process, however, was shown by our team from the planning service with special glasses. The Microsoft HoloLens uses BIM Revit data. It allows everyone involved in construction to visualize the progress of construction right from the start. It quickly becomes clear where space is required for piping systems, dimensions need to be adjusted or distribution lines need to be routed differently. Since the BIM data has already been prepared for 3D planning of the pipeline network, VR technology is the logical extension and continuation of this time-saving approach.
The next ISH will take place from 22 to 26 March 2021 in Frankfurt am Main - we are already looking forward to it!
